Project Overview

The New Onilegbale Palace stands as one of Envostructs' most prestigious heritage construction projects — a grand, bespoke palace built for Arc. Gbolahan Owodunni Oki, the Onilegbale of Lagos. The Onilegbale holds a First Class Akarigbere Royal title and sits on the council of kingmakers (Akarighere) responsible for the confirmation of the Oba of Lagos — one of the most significant traditional positions in Lagos Island's centuries-old royal hierarchy. Located in the culturally rich heartland of Isale Eko, this palace represents the convergence of traditional Yoruba architectural heritage and contemporary structural engineering. Uniquely, the palace was architecturally designed by the client himself — Arc. Gbolahan Owodunni — making it a deeply personal commission that demanded the highest fidelity of execution.
